18-Feb-2024 February 2024 Donation News

Thank you to all the individuals and groups in our community who have donated clothing, blankets, bedding and winter wear over the fall and early winter months. Because of your generosity, we received over 200 pairs of new pajamas and 150 winter coats to offer shoppers at the Clothing Closet. Your donations are greatly appreciated and we hope you’ll continue to support our efforts in the future.

Because of our donors' generosity, we are well stocked with winter clothing at this point and will stop accepting donations of fall/winter items as of Monday, February 19.  We will begin to accept donations of spring and summer clothing starting in March.  Because children's clothing is always in short supply, we always accept donations of any items of child sized and teen clothing, as well as blankets, towels, bedding, and new underwer and socks for both adults and children.

When you donate, please use the recommended 13 gallon size bags to deliver your donations in.  If you bring your donations in other types of containers, staff will be happy to help transfer them into the approprite bags.

08-Dec-2023 December News

December is a very busy time for all of us and this is certainly no different for our volunteers at the Clothing Closet.   We work hard all year long to get the items we need throughout the year.   This year we are continuing our Gift of Bedtime Reading Program.  This program was started many years ago by a Greece School Teacher collecting books and warm pjs for our clients at Christmas Time.   Thanks to GRB Bank, Lynn Dates at Keller Williams Real Estate and Kathy O'Leary we will be distributing these gifts once again in December while they last.  We've also received a supply of new hoodies from St Charles.  The generosity of the community is amazing.

As always, we are in need of childrens clothing sizes 6-14, sheets, especially queen size, and warm blankets.  Thank you all for your understanding we do appreciate it.  Merry Christmas to all.
