Will the groundhog find his shadow or not?.  This is always a mystery.  We thank you all for your patience with us as we have slowly gotten back to a new normal position at the Clothing Closet.  Our clients have continued to shop with only being open three days per week.   Tuesdays, 10:00-12:00; Wednesdays, 4:00-6:00; and Saturday 9-11.  During the month of December we served 89 familes.   This is amazing as prior to Covid we would serve 100 families in December with be open 6 days per week.  At this time we would love to offer more days, but we cannot find the staff.   If you are interested in volunteering, please call our Program Coordinator at 585-397-2192.

Thanks to the generosity of so many groups, we were able to provide 80 children with 2 pairs of pajamas each with our Gift of Bedtime Reading Program in December.  Also during the months of December and January we distributed 100 blankets, 64 adult winter coats and 42 childrens jackets .  We could not do this without your continued support.

We will be restarting our springtime donations in late March.  We are always in dire need of kids clothing sizes 6-16, full and queen size sheet and bath towels.  As you prepare for springtime, please think of us for these donations.   Unforturnately, we cannot accept any winter items again in September.   Thanks so much for your kindness and thoughtfulness.

02-Jan-2023 Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all! May the year 2023 bring you all good health, happiness , love and joy.   We are here to help as best as we can.   At this time we continue to have adult jackets and children's jackets.  We also have blankets and some pajamas available.   We will continue to be open Tuesday 10-12, Wednesday 4-6 and Saturday 9-11.  The Closet will continue to limit the number of clients in the store.  We do appreciate your patience and umderstanding.

At this time we are accepting all season children's clothing, sheets and blankets.   Unfortunately, we cannot accept any more adult winter clothing.  Please save for the fall.  We will accept spring and summer clothing in late March 2023.  Watch our website for more details.

We would like to open up one more day, if you are interested in volunteering,   please call Diane Kozakiewicz at 397-2192.  The day we are looking at Mondays from 10-12.  You must be able to work each Monday.

Thanks to all our wonderful donors last season.  We cannot operate without your support.

06-Dec-2022 Hello December

December is a very busy time for all of us and this is certainly no different for our volunteers at the Clothing Closet.   We work hard all year long to get the items we need throughout the year.   This year we are continuing our Gift of Bedtime Reading Program.  This program was started many years ago by a Greece School Teacher collecting books and warm pjs for our clients at Christmas Time.   Thanks to GRB Bank, Lynn Dates at Keller Williams Real Estate and Kathy O'Leary we will be distributing these gifts once again beginning this week while they last.   We are grateful to the Kiwanis Group, and a Special Friend who collected blankets for us. We have been blessed to receieved extra winter jackets from St. Mark's Church and new hoodies from St Charles.  Ridgemont Wegmans just completed a kids clothing drive for us.  The generosity of the community is amazing.  Without your help we could not service  those in need.

At this time we are in dire need of childrens clothing sizes 6-14 and sheets for all types of beds.  We do not need any ladies or mens clothing at this time.  Therefore we will hold off accepting the men's and womens clothing except for jacket.  As space inside the shed and closet opens up we will open up these donations for these items.     Thank you all for your understanding we do appreciate it.  Merry Christmas to all.
